Reinforcement Mica

The lamellar Reinforcement Mica, also known as English Mica, is obtained from the minerals muscovite K2Al4(Al2Si6O20)(OH)4 or Phlogopite K2(MgFe2+)6(Al2Si6O20)(OH,F)4. The types of Reinforcement Mica which are not suitable for electrical industry are used in ground forms as filler and reinforcements for various applications. The reinforcing action of Reinforcement Mica is determined mainly by the aspect ratio. Silanization of the filler surface facilitates the incorporation of our Reinforcement Mica into plastics. The use of Amino Silanes, in particular, results in good mechanical properties of finished articles. In the automotive industry, Reinforcement Mica, offered by us, is used as an inexpensive substitute for glass fibers in polypropylene parts. Metallized Mica types are new development. Our Reinforcement Mica is processed in compliance with high quality industrial standards. We provide Reinforcement Mica in bulk quantities as per the requirement of the client.
